European Tour of Swami Avatar Puriji and Swami Rajendra Puriji
In December 2024, Swami Avatar Puriji and Swami Rajendra Puriji embarked on a spiritual journey across Europe, under the guidance and blessings of Vishwaguruji, author of Yoga in Daily Life the System. This tour was an opportunity to spread the profound wisdom of Sat Sanatan Dharma and share Vishwaguruji’s teachings at Yoga in Daily Life centres and ashrams across the continent.
Beginning the Journey in Slovakia
The tour commenced on 26 December 2024, in Slovakia, where Vishwaguruji’s disciples warmly welcomed Swami Avatar Puriji and Swami Rajendra Puriji.
Amidst the picturesque snow-covered mountains near Levoča, including a serene visit to Popradske Pleso in the High Tatras, the swamis enjoyed the pristine winter landscape. Coming from Rajasthan, India, the swamis relished walking in the snow. Swami Avatar Puriji aptly remarked, "Life is like a mountain, difficult to climb, but the view from the top is worth it.”
The day concluded with an inspiring satsang at the Yoga in Daily Life centre in Levoča. They continued their journey to Martin, Slovakia, where the ashram hosted a heartfelt satsang filled with spiritual discourses and bhajans.
Czech Republic
Next, the swamis travelled to the Mahaprabudip Ashram in Střílky, Czechia, where participants enjoyed vibrant bhajans and profound prayers. The following day, they toured Prague, where Vishwaguruji’s devotees guided them through the historic city.
They visited the Peace Tree, planted by Vishwaguruji and high dignitaries of the Prague government, on 1 December 2008. At the tree-planting ceremony, Vishwaguruji had shared these timeless words:
"The paths are different, but the goal is one – God, love, unity. There is only one religion, one truth and one nature. The Vedas say that all creatures are God’s incarnation and that all of creation comes from one God. Therefore this tree also lives, has a soul, and feels thirst and hunger, cold and hot. I wish from my heart that this tree stands here for peace for a very long time. We all are its witnesses and especially the children who are here – they are a hope for future peace."
After delivering inspiring lectures at a satsang in the Prague Ashram, the swamis continued their journey to Kutná Hora, enjoying a serene walk through the historic town before holding a satsang at the local Yoga in Daily Life centre. Their tour also included a visit to Sri Devpuriji Ashram in Žďárec u Skutče and concluded in Brno, where Swami Avatar Puriji emphasized,
“In the sanctuary of satsang, we discover peace; in the wisdom of mantras, we awaken the soul.”
Austria
The Austrian journey began in Vienna, where satsangs were held at Guruji Ashram and Mahaprabhuji Ashram. Highlights included a Sanskrit Mantra Workshop, where the swamis shared insights into the Vedas and Puranas. They inspired attendees with reflections on the transformative power of Vedic mantras.
From Vienna, they traveled to Salzburg, where Swami Avatar Puriji shared: “Pure academic knowledge can only fill the mind. We need the hand of a true Master to progress on the path of yoga.”
Swami Rajendra Puriji added, “Human life is a precious jewel, so we should use our time wisely. With satsang – good company where truth, love and wisdom are discussed, with bhajans (spiritual songs), prayer and meditation, we can make our lives successful.”
The journey continued to Linz, where devotees welcomed Swami Avatar Puriji, recalling his presence at the ashram’s inauguration in 2004, and they warmly greeted Swami Rajendra Puriji, on his first visit to Europe.
Slovenia
In Slovenia, Swami Avatar Puriji and Swami Rajendra Puriji received a heartfelt welcome at Yoga in Daily Life centres in Novo Mesto, Kranj, Ljubljana, and Murska Sobota. These gatherings resonated with the sound of bhajans, Vedic mantras, and the words of wisdom that the swamis brought to devotees. Their infectious happiness and spiritual guidance illuminated each event.
Swami Rajendra Puriji in Croatia and Slovenia
On 11 January 2025, the time arrived for farewells, as Swami Avatar Puriji departed for New Zealand and Australia, while Swami Rajendra Puriji proceeded on his journey to Croatia.
During his visit, he explored the Yoga in Daily Life Alley in Samobor (an avenue of trees planted by Vishwaguruji), and conducted inspiring satsangs at Sri Devpuriji Ashram in Zagreb and the Cultural Hall of Yoga in Daily Life in Rijeka.
On his return to Austria, Swami Rajendra Puriji made a stop at the Yoga in Daily Life Ashram in Nova Gorica, Slovenia, thus concluding his first visit to Europe.
A Journey of Spiritual Light
Throughout their European tour, Swami Avatar Puriji and Swami Rajendra Puriji conveyed messages of devotion, peace and spiritual enlightenment. Their presence, enriched by the blessings of Vishwaguruji, uplifted the hearts of many, reinforcing the principles of Sat Sanatan Dharma and the teachings of Yoga in Daily Life.
This tour underscored the timeless value of satsang, meditation, and the pursuit of spiritual growth, leaving an indelible mark on the communities they visited.
