Twenty years ago, the Master of Yoga, His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda, brought the Light of Yoga to Slovenia. Today there are 11 YIDL centres serving all parts of Slovenia and more than 50,000 Slovenians have started to practise the Yoga in Daily Life System. On the occasion of this anniversary His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda is visiting Slovenia for a 7-day tour (May 2 - 8), entitled Spiritual Awakening for World Peace.

The two-day World Peace Summit 2008 in Wellington/New Zealand was brought to a successful conclusion. Main speakers as well as all other participants were invited to sign an affirmative Declaration, which will be presented to the United Nations World Environment Day conference being held in Wellington on 5th June 2008.

Sadhvi Shanti will be visiting main Slovenian cities (Nova Gorica, Novo Mesto, Domzale, Celje, Kranj, Ljubljana and Maribor), between March 31 until April 6, 2008. She will be presenting her last trip to Himalayas, covering holy places like Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath, as well as Pushkar. On March 28, 2008, the 7th World Peace Summit (titled “Climate Change – What to Do?”) was launched in Wellington/New Zealand, under the patronage of His Holiness Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda. It started with a traditional Maori opening ceremony and continued with a multicultural program. “There is only one human race, there are no differences, no races”, concluded His Holiness Swamiji at the end of the beautiful evening.

His Holines Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Swami Maheshwarananda extended his heartfelt condolences, both on his personal behalf as well as on behalf of the World Peace Council, to the familiy of Mr. Drnovsek and to the whole Slovenian nation.

In June 2008, a new 3-year Ayurveda Diploma Training Course (with University Certificate of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth) starts in Vienna, Austria. The training is vital and diverse mixture of theory and practice. Fundamental theories will be applied in practical workshops.

This year's World Peace Summit is to be held in New Zealand’s capital, Wellington. It is the first such event in New Zealand, but one of a series of international leadership forums focused on achieving peace, justice, tolerance, and an environmentally sustainable world. The event will take place during March 29 – 30, 2008 at Westpac St James Theatre in Wellington.
